Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LoomLab ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
Beta Program Status
LoomLab is currently in production testing / early access. This means:
- Features may change, be added, or removed without notice
- Platform stability is improving but not guaranteed
- Some features are experimental or incomplete
- Regular maintenance windows may occur
- Pricing structure may change when transitioning out of beta
Early access is provided free during testing phase. Users will be notified before any paid plans are introduced.
Acceptable Use
You May:
- Create engineering system models for personal or commercial projects
- Use generated documentation (BOM, cut lists) for manufacturing
- Export your projects and data
- Provide feedback and feature requests
You May Not:
- Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code
- Use the Platform for illegal activities or to violate regulations
- Abuse, harass, or threaten other users or staff
- Overload systems with excessive API calls or automated requests
- Resell or redistribute Platform access without permission
Your Data & Intellectual Property
Your Designs
You retain all rights to digital twin data, projects, and system models you create in LoomLab. We do not claim ownership of your work.
Platform Content
LoomLab's component library, templates, interface, and software remain our intellectual property. You may use them within the Platform but may not extract or redistribute them.
License Grant
You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data to operate the Platform and provide services. We do not use your designs for any other purpose without permission.
Disclaimer of Warranties
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
LoomLab is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Accuracy of calculations, validations, or generated outputs
- Fitness for any particular purpose
- Compliance with specific industry standards or regulations
- Correctness of component data or specifications
CRITICAL SYSTEMS: LoomLab is a design tool. Always verify outputs independently before manufacturing or deploying mission-critical harnesses. We are not liable for design errors, manufacturing defects, or system failures.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LoomLab and its operators shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Manufacturing errors resulting from design outputs
- Electrical failures, fires, or safety incidents
- Regulatory non-compliance or certification failures
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Platform in the 12 months preceding the claim (currently $0 during beta).
Professional Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for:
- Verifying design correctness and safety
- Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards
- Reviewing component specifications and datasheets
- Testing harnesses before deployment
- Following proper engineering and manufacturing practices
LoomLab is a design assistant, not a replacement for engineering judgment and expertise.
Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in abusive or illegal behavior
- Remain inactive for extended periods (notice provided)
- Create security or operational risks
You may close your account at any time. Export your data before deletion — we cannot recover deleted accounts.
Changes to Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes, but cannot guarantee continuity during the beta phase.
Pricing & Payments
Early access is currently free. When we introduce paid plans:
- Early users will receive advance notice and preferential pricing
- Existing projects and data will remain accessible
- Free tier options may be available
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where LoomLab is operated. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or small claims court.
